The opportunity…
A Morton Buildings construction crew consist of four team members (crew foreman, crew lead, third person, and fourth person) working together as a team on various building projects. As a Morton Buildings Crew Foreman, you will perform all the tasks of a Crewmember while developing a team that has the attitude, drive, and ambition to succeed. Your objective is to ensure a positive customer experience, while your team constructs a building of the highest quality, in a timely and profitable manner.
Additional responsibilities…
As an experienced construction professional you will directly oversee and provide leadership for all members of your crew and all aspects of your building projects. Your responsibility includes, but is not limited to:
• Managing the customer relationship during the build process
• Ensuring all projects are managed on time, within budget, and adhere to all company standards
• Managing the entire build project; scheduling & coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors
• Leading your crew by example in all aspects of the team environment
• Coaching, mentoring, and training all crew members; providing corrective actions where appropriate
• Managing all crew assignments to ensure objectives are met
• Managing all aspects of crew training and development
• Hiring all new crew members and continued evaluation of all existing crew members
• Establishing and communicating the crews objectives on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures
The requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
• Ability to hold or obtain a valid CDL license
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and at various heights
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and work in various types of weather conditions
• Ability to operate construction hand tools and other specialized equipment safely and effectively
• Ability to maintain a solution-oriented, positive approach when issues may arise
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in the construction industry (post-frame preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, and planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Prior leadership / management position within the construction industry desired
